A retry message can come from an input problem, a missed condition or an answer the game does not recognize. Check the visible spelling and full question before assuming your trivia knowledge is wrong.
What does the evidence actually show?
Read the exact title in the field. A known actor or franchise connection is not enough if the particular movie name does not match what the game recognizes.

The first screenshot shows a title retry, not a finished scorecard. The later screenshot shows the accepted replacement. An unrecognized input and an accepted low grade are different states.
Check the condition before trying more spellings
The two states support a narrow lesson: a retry can be followed by a qualifying replacement. They do not prove that every plausible film title will be accepted, or that the game rejected the actor’s entire filmography.
The July 18 Best Picture question asked for a movie that won the award. Citizen Kane did not win Best Picture. That makes it a poor candidate for the wording; it is also absent from this saved roster. We do not have a live rejection test or a 15-point result for it on that date.
- Title or person? Enter the requested type.
- Winner or nominee? Check the exact achievement.
- Live action or animation? A related franchise is not enough.
- Letter or sound? Read which condition the question uses.
Recognition has limits too
The official FAQ acknowledges missing fair answers and unexpected autocorrect matches. A factual explanation of why a word fits is useful evidence for a report, but cannot force it into the current answer set.
- Inspect one likely typo.
- Read the accepted name if autocorrect changed it.
- If uncertain and time remains, use another candidate you can justify.
- Save a screenshot and question date for review after the round.

Include the date, exact prompt, submitted text, observed message and any reference that supports the condition. We do not promise every report can be reconstructed from server logs. A missing historical capture can remain unresolved.
Review one input without time pressure
Use an available practice dive to rehearse the checking sequence. Its roster matching is local and does not reproduce all official aliases. For an older date, use the dated sheet as a reference instead of assuming every archived day is playable.
