No letter A: check the whole animal name

Name an animal without the letter A in its name (breeds count too)

Read the question scope — no saved answers

The condition applies to the name you submit: it must not contain a or A. Breeds count too, but the full breed name still has to pass the same spelling check. This is a written-name restriction, not a claim about animal classification.

Get a thinking direction — no saved answers

Start with familiar pets, birds or wild species. Spell a candidate in full and inspect every letter. If it fails the restriction, switch to another name instead of dropping part of it.

What the saved sheet records

  • Dog — Plankton, 10 points.
  • Kiwi — Rare, 60 points.
  • Poodle — Rare, 60 points.

Our interpretation

All three saved examples contain no a in their recorded spellings. The breed example earns the same 60 points as the bird example here; a breed label is not automatically worth more. Passing the letter check also does not guarantee that another candidate appears in the official answer set.

Read the -ium ending, then check the date

Name a chemical element whose name ends in -ium

Read the question scope — no saved answers

There are two conditions: a chemical element and an English name ending in the three letters ium. Use the full name, not its symbol. Meeting that wording does not establish a score.

Get a thinking direction — no saved answers

Use a periodic table to check element names. Inspect the last three letters of a name you recognise, then keep the source date in mind when comparing grades.

Our interpretation

These names meet the written suffix condition, but their saved grades differ between the two sources shown here. Do not carry a remembered score into a different dated sheet. The comparison records the differences; it cannot tell us when or why the official editor assigned them.

When the prompt gives an example

Name a pattern or print (for example, stripes)

Read the question scope — no saved answers

The phrase in parentheses supplies an example of the category. It is not a promise about the points that example will earn. Look for a named pattern, rather than an object that carries one.

Get a thinking direction — no saved answers

Think about repeating motifs, arrangements of shapes, or designs used on fabric. Check that your choice names the pattern itself.

How to read the question

What the saved sheet records

  • Stripes — Too Clever, 15 points.
Saved quip: Why are you listing the example?
  • Herringbone — Rare, 60 points.

Our interpretation

This saved sheet gives the example in the prompt 15 points and includes a quip about repeating that example. It is a recorded Too Clever result, not a rejected answer. This one case does not prove that every answer named in a prompt always receives the same tier.

Frequently asked questions

Do these Krillion hints spoil the answers?

The page starts with the prompt and roster shape. When a question has a reviewed note, level 1 explains its scope and level 2 suggests a way to think about it without naming an answer. Level 3 reveals the first character and length of one recorded example per tier. Level 4 links to the complete sheet.

When are today's Krillion hints updated?

This page shows the latest saved sheet, dated October 16, 2026. The reset timestamp stored with that sheet is 2026-10-17T04:00:00.000Z. Publication can happen later, so the displayed date is the coverage indicator; check the official game for the live dive.

What does the rarity mix tell me?

It shows how many accepted answers sit in each tier — Plankton, Too Clever, Schooler, Rare, Deep Cut and One in a Krillion. A prompt with a single One in a Krillion answer is a very different hunt from one with twenty of them, and knowing there are only a handful of Plankton answers tells you the obvious guesses run out fast.

Where can I see the full answers instead?

Open level 4 on a current hint card for the complete dated sheet. The reviewed historical guides have a separate, labeled reveal for saved examples, quips and comparisons. Those reveals stay closed until you choose to open them.
