About these questions

Commentary reviewed 2026-10-06. Open a note for scope and recorded examples.

Understand: Name an animal without the letter A in its name (breeds count too) · reveals examples

How to read the question

The condition applies to the name you submit: it must not contain a or A. Breeds count too, but the full breed name still has to pass the same spelling check. This is a written-name restriction, not a claim about animal classification.

What the saved sheet records

  • Dog — Plankton, 10 points.
  • Kiwi — Rare, 60 points.
  • Poodle — Rare, 60 points.

Our interpretation

All three saved examples contain no a in their recorded spellings. The breed example earns the same 60 points as the bird example here; a breed label is not automatically worth more. Passing the letter check also does not guarantee that another candidate appears in the official answer set.
