For the launch-day K-animal question, Kagu, Kakariki and Kangaroo rat were all recorded as Deep Cuts. Use the exact prompt and dated roster to see the level of specificity those entries had; a different question or later sheet can assign a different tier.
The statistics report explains how the roster counts were calculated. Looking at a large list can offer more ideas to study, but it is not evidence that any particular approach guarantees a Deep Cut.
