Before starting the Daily Dive, make sure you can see the prompt, type comfortably and stay with all seven questions. This checklist is a suggested routine, not a proven way to raise your score.
Before you start
- Remove interruptions: close a notification or switch to a quieter spot if it will distract you.
- Check the input: on a phone, make sure the keyboard leaves the question readable.
- Know the format: the official answer clock is 25 seconds per prompt; our practice is untimed.
During each question
- Identify the requested type: person, title, sport or other category.
- Keep every condition, such as a date or achievement.
- Keep one candidate whose fit and spelling you can explain.
- Only replace it if the alternative still meets the conditions and you have time to enter it.
- Inspect the actual input and the displayed submission message.
A familiar candidate is not guaranteed to be recognized, and a less familiar name is not guaranteed more points. The first-answer guide helps you decide what to check before a switch.
After the round: review one useful mistake
Use the dated Archive to compare the question and grade. Rare is 60 points and Deep Cut is 85; these labels do not report other players' submissions.
- Wrong type: you entered an actor when the question wanted a character.
- Missed qualifier: you ignored live-action, a date or a winning condition.
- Input problem: you could not enter the complete label in time.
Choose one change for your next rehearsal. Use practice's zero-score retry to repeat misses without replacing the original full-round statistics.

Does this routine guarantee a better score?
